This digital map services to provide answers to the competition with Google Maps.

Bings Service Maps can be used by users of Microsoft Silverlight, which will show clearly the look of a city with three-dimensional image. It is undeniable, the service is still in beta is like a glimpse of what was adopted at Google Street.

Later on, Microsoft will provide a “touch” to Simplify the use of these Bing maps, one of the “touch” is the task feature pages, where users can add and design information in one location, so that the information in Bing Maps can be much more complete.

Reported by PC World, Tuesday (01/05/2009), the presence of Bing Maps this as one way of Microsoft to reach as many as possible users of their search engine. Because since it was launched last June, according to ComScore, the new Bing won a percentage between 8 or 9.9 percent of the overall search engine worldwide.

“This figure is not too bad, we still have other bigger plans,” said Satya Nadella, senior vice president of Microsoft Online Services Division.

Bing Maps beta users can use Silverlight in a plug-in for free. This version is still using the platform AJAX (asynchronous JavaScript and XML), but Nadela asserted, Bing Maps will continue to attend and developed to be used by anyone.
